MICRONEEDLING
MICRONEEDLING
The new simple and effective anti aging treatment
How does micro needling work?
The process is well tolerated. It takes a few minutes to an hour to complete, depending on the area and the severity of the problem. No lotions or other topical products are used in the treatment area on the day of treatment.
The doctor uses an anesthetic cream (topical) in the area of treatment or injects local anesthetic. The skin puncture has a specific design using the skin needling device. The device is rolled multiple times for optimal results. As the fine needle penetrates the skin, a micro-injury is created that triggers cellular rejuvenation. We practically control the skin by trying to make it produce more elastin and collagen.
There has also been the creation of new vessels that nourish all layers of the skin.
Depending on the case, it may take 5-60 minutes to complete the treatment.
What is micro needling;
Skin needling or otherwise micro-needling therapy is a non-invasive, non-surgical and bloodless facial rejuvenation method involving the use of a micro-needling device to create controlled skin injury. It is a handheld device that has a thin cylinder with 0.5 – 1.5mm depth at its tip.
By inserting each thin needle into the skin, a micro-injury is created, and this controlled micro-injury causes the body to replenish the micro-injury areas by producing new collagen and elastin. In addition, new capillaries are created. This angiogenesis and collagenogenesis reduces scarring and leads to skin renewal in the sense of improving its texture and hydration.
What is the target audience for micro needling?
Micro needling therapy is indicated for those with the following symptoms:
- Wrinkles
- Acne scars
- Traumatic scars / Caesarean scars
- Stretch marks
- Belly, thighs, buttocks relaxation
- Face discoloration
RESULTS
What are the results – some advice after micro needling treatment;
The number of treatments, according to the doctor, depends on each case. Usually 4-6 treatments are needed.
After treatment, dryness, exfoliation, redness and swelling are observed for several days or more, depending on the depth of needle penetration. This is why sun protection is recommended for several weeks.
The next day, the face is cleansed and all cosmetics can be used normally. Small holes close very quickly and infection is rare.
The skin can be rejuvenated as soon as 2 weeks and up to 6-8 months after the medical procedure, while burn scars are slow to respond. It may take 6 months to 1 year to see the final results of a treatment.
