VARICOSE VAIN THERAPY
The treatment of varicose vains with spectacular results
Varicose Vain Therapy ( sclerotherapy)
Sclerotherapy relates to injections of a hardener into the arteries. This method is considered safe. At the time of the first injection, it is possible to develop a redness at the injection site that is transient.
Hardening injections essentially cause thrombosis in the capillaries, so they should be used by an experienced specialist to avoid complications (such as thrombophlebitis, which is commonly treated by a vascular surgeon). After each treatment with hardening injections a graded compression sock should be worn for 24 hours, although the critical interval is the first 24 hours. When you remove the pantyhose, there may be bruises at the injection sites, but they gradually subside. These treatments are given in the form of multiple sessions depending on the extent of the foot problem and the outcome sought. They are a very widely used technique for dealing with spider veins but may not completely eliminate the problem. However, these results are spectacular, especially in cases of very widespread disease.
What are the causes of varicose vains?
Determinants of their appearance may be genetic predisposition, systemic corticosteroid use, hormonal changes observed during puberty, pregnancy, menopause or estrogen therapy, or even mechanical trauma. Prolonged standing or sitting posture, excess weight, lack of physical activity, as well as some fitness exercises or massage techniques play an aggravating role.
Sclerotherapy or Laser?
Sclerotherapy is the oldest and most effective method of dealing with spider veins. It is also a more economical method than laser. Also, sclerotherapy is not limited by the diameter of the vessels, while the laser can only be effectively applied to very small vessels. Sometimes the two methods are combined. Initially, that is, the sclerotherapy is performed and then the treatment is completed, if necessary, with the laser.
